Client Overview

JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon is a newly rebranded 5-star international hotel under the prestigious JW Marriott brand—one of the flagship labels of Marriott International. Located at the heart of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, the hotel is owned and invested by Mapletree Investments, a leading real estate group based in Singapore.


The hotel comprises two towers with a total of 565 units: a 21-story hotel building with 305 guest rooms, and a 31-story suites tower with 260 serviced residences ranging from one to three bedrooms. Its prime location connects directly to mPlaza Saigon and is just steps away from iconic city landmarks such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace, and the Saigon Central Post Office.


Blending international luxury with Vietnamese hospitality, the hotel sets a new benchmark in high-end accommodation in the city.



The Need for a Technology Transformation

In July 2024, Marriott International officially took over the property’s management from InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The hotel was renamed JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon on September 10, 2024, marking the start of a new era. As part of the rebranding process, the hotel had to upgrade and standardize its entire IT infrastructure to meet Marriott’s global technology standards.


Key requirements included:

  • Full Wi-Fi coverage throughout the hotel

  • 24/7 system stability for thousands of concurrent guests and staff

  • Centralized management, real-time monitoring, and future scalability

  • Compliance with Marriott’s stringent cybersecurity and performance protocols


To meet these demands, Mapletree Investments began sourcing a technology partner with proven capabilities in large-scale infrastructure deployment for luxury hospitality. After a competitive evaluation, Our Team was selected as the official IT hardware provider and system integrator for the JW Marriott project.


Scope of Deployment and Solution

We designed a comprehensive networking solution that went far beyond simply “delivering equipment.” The goal was to build a resilient, intelligent, and future-ready digital backbone for a 5-star hotel operation. Key components of the deployment included:

  • 90+ Aruba switches: including core, server-level, and per-floor access switches

  • 700 Aruba AP-505H Wi-Fi access points: installed in every guest room and suite

  • 60 Aruba 503 access points: for common areas and hallways

  • 2 Aruba centralized controllers: managing over 750 AP licenses with full visibility

  • 35 Santak UPS systems: ensuring uninterrupted operation across the infrastructure


The entire solution leveraged Wi-Fi 6 technology, enabling faster speeds, higher density, and better energy efficiency, all managed through Aruba Central, a cloud-based platform for centralized configuration, analytics, and troubleshooting.

Results Delivered

The project was completed on schedule and exceeded expectations across key success metrics:

  • 100% Wi-Fi 6 coverage across the entire property, including guest rooms, suites, corridors, lounges, and service areas

  • 🌐 24/7 network uptime with consistent performance for thousands of concurrent connections

  • 🏨 Full compliance with Marriott International’s technology standards, laying the groundwork for a world-class guest experience
